I got to see a B2 up close as a kid in the mid 90s at an airshow here in San Antonio Texas. It was the coolest plane I've ever seen. I was 100% captivated by its design.

Between the collaborative combat aircraft and b-21 developments it seems like the air force has at least modestly managed to learn how to research, test, and build on a reasonable time/cost curve. Now if only the navy could manage to produce a single new ship for less than quadruple the estimated time/cost it was planned to take.

15:17 - I remember when the B-2 was first rolled out reporters could only look at it from the front so they could not see the shape of the rear of the plane. Aviation Week and Space Technology flew a plane overhead to snap pictures from above - sneaky.
