The YouTube video titled "Battle of Kostyantynivka Is Quietly Changing War!!" provides an in-depth look at the escalating battle for Kostyantynivka in Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast, highlighting how modern warfare is rapidly evolving through unmanned systems and new tactical formations.

Strategic Importance of Kostyantynivka: The

video explains that Russia is aggressively pushing to capture Kostyantynivka [01:28] to secure a major symbolic and tactical victory [03:51]. This push serves as a counter-narrative for the Russian public against ongoing Ukrainian drone strikes within Russia [01:37]. The town also serves as a critical stepping stone toward Uk

The Pincer Movement: Russian forces have been executing a slow-moving pincer movement from the north and south of the city [04:35]. Because movement in a heavily monitored drone environment is extremely hazardous and slow, advances often happen at a crawling pace of

roughly 100 meters per day, complicating both offensive maneuvers and Ukrainian withdrawals [05:37].

Innovations in Ukrainian Forces:

Specialized Assault Units: The creation of specialized units like the 425th Assault Regiment (Scala) focuses strictly on high-risk clearing and assault operations rather than holding ground, fu

Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs): The video details how the 33rd Assault Regiment has started utilizing robotic ground platforms, such as the Droid TWW127 UGV, to conduct assault operations [09:05]. These tracked robotic systems provide reconnaissance and fire support, ex

Broader Context and Political Climate: Despite heavy Russian resource allocation and attempts to exploit potential political friction within the Ukrainian leadership, Ukrainian forc

I remember early in the war the video of an old Ukrainian grandmother giving a Russian solider sunflower seeds in scorn so when he died he'd plant the seeds.
@史麦克尤金

I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
@dancingbabybins
"These aren't the Droid that you're looking for" reference to "proper" application of the force. Russia needs to end this war before this concept is given legs
@brucewilliams6292
Thanks for focusing on the rest of the war.

I love that Strike Gum baby, woo!

This war has changed the way wars are fought nearly to the same extent as the First World War had. Drones have completely flipped everything we thought we knew on it's head turning entire classes of weapons systems we thought were vital to conducting a modern war totally obsolete. This is a terrible and completely needless war but from a purely military standpoint we are living through one of the greatest leaps of military technology in all of human history.
@GrayPennell
in WWI they would be called Stormtroopers
@michaelquigley9719
These assault units I would say the term "stormtroopers" had a historical precedent by Germany in WW1

@oppenator

The future is now. Commander Paul, you've taken us into future combat operations happening in real time and it's WW I all over again, because these rolling buggies with machine guns and treads are going to evolve very quickly into operators who take the initiative. That's right, the drone assault vehicles will soon have the option of sensing a target before command has been given and then go and take out an infantry attacker. We have to realize that we are witnessing the future of armed combat evolving before our eyes and first reported by Commander Paul. What this means changes what warfare used to be.

12 miles in 2 years? My god and how many men and material have they lost in that time?!? This is crazy!.
