The video "Hanamura Temple Update" provides a detailed overview of the reworked Hanamura Battleground in Heroes of the Storm. Here is a summary of the key changes and features discussed:

Objective Overhaul:

The battleground shifts from two separate competing p

ayloads to a single centralized, contested payload that teams escort in opposing directions [00:17], [00:44].

If left unattended, payloads no longer drift backward; instead, they hold their current position until escorted again by your team or captured by the

enemy [01:09].

Core and Fortification Damage:

Successful objective pushes deal damage to enemy fortifications first. Once all enemy forts and keeps are destroyed, the payloads begin prioritizing direct attacks on the core [01:23].

Teams can now combine objecti

ve pushes with other strategies to directly attack the core [01:40].

Objective Pathing:

After a successful push, the path for the next objective shifts to become more challenging. A final path adjustment occurs on the second successful push, and the pattern re

sets after a fourth objective [01:54].

Mercenary Camps:

Turret camps remain unchanged, while healing camps and the mega enforcer have been removed and replaced by Sentinel Siege camps that push lanes with strong cleave attacks [02:18].

Standard vision watchtow

ers are replaced by Recon Camps. Capturing them provides vision and experience, but enemy teams must defeat the mercenaries stationed there to counter-capture them [02:37].

Strategy and Hero Focus:

The update places a heavy emphasis on team fighting, making tr

aditional split-pushing strategies more challenging [02:54].

Setup heroes, such as Deckard Cain, shine on this map due to the predictable objective pathing [03:21].
