The United States has carried out airstrikes against Iran for the sixth consecutive day, with President Donald Trump indicating there could be more to come. FOX’s Shannon Bream reports.

The video from FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul covers the sixth consecutive day of United States military strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure, particularly bridges, near the Strait of Hormuz amidst an ongoing conflict [00:00].

Key Discussion Points

Military Operations & Strategic Focus:

The U.S. has been pummeling Iranian forces for six straight nights, focusing heavily on bridges and supply lines [00:00], [00:43].

According to Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream, the operations are centered around the Strait of Hormuz to stop the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from making transit dangerous and nearly impossible [00:27].

The strikes aim to disrupt IRGC reinforcements and prevent them from choking off the strait [00:43]. No immediate end to the military campaign is signaled by the White House [00:57].

Congressional Reactions & Political Divisions:

Lawmaker responses largely follow traditional party lines, though some bipartisan crossover exists [01:12]

.

Debates center on whether President Trump needs to come to Congress formally under the War Powers Act, with some arguing the act itself may be unconstitutional [01:21].

Upcoming foreign policy discussions feature Senators Katie Britt and Gene Shaheen addressing areas of agreement and disagreement, as well as broader international issues like sanctions against Russia and potential additions regarding Iran [01:34].

Diplomacy & Political Calculus:

While the White House maintains a preference for diplomacy, ongoing kinetic actions carry military risks, American casualties, and political consequences ahead of the midterms due to the conflict's deep unpopularity [02:16].

Uncertainty remains regarding leadership within Iran—including reports that the new Ayatollah may be injured or deceased—leaving questions about who is truly calling the shots while the IRGC persists in blocking safe passage through the strait [02:38].

Fun fact, the bridges taken out are near the border. Iran used them to sneak oil outside the country after the naval blockade. This will hurt them badly
