My wife has been a long time subscriber, a true OG. I just recently started watching the channel with her and it has inspired me to take more of an interest in home decor and design. It’s been really fun having a say in what our house looks and feels like for the first time in 13 years of living together, and we are connected at an entirely new level than we’ve ever been before. I’m very grateful for your inspiration in exploring my sense of style as a man who grew up being taught that I wasn’t allowed to have one.

That little step stool is the unmentioned MVP of the room’s styling.
@brookebenton2058
If you had leftover fabric from the headboard you could make a pillow for the new lounge spot!!
@MsSparkysparks
My cats would be swinging from those fringed lamps like they were in Cirque Du Soleil

The corner piece from a modular sofa for a bay window is genius

The clip at the end with everyone sitting on the couch and the sun shining through the windows is beautiful :)

Love the sofa. I think you may need a little petite flower of a table next to it for your wine! Under the light!
@zoelouisethrasher
The crashout after taking down the old blinds and putting up the new ones was so valid 😭

Sectional for the bay window is genius renter friendly move I'm so impressed! And I agree the color palette really became more sophisticated once the green and red came in.

@carlawisch
I'm glad you nailed the most important thing about that nook. You made it easier for the kitties to get on the windowsill!

Caroline, would you consider doing a video about basics for mounting things on walls? I live in an 1890 apartment and my doubts about wall material, stud spacing, and where the wires run inside the walls (very possibly nonstandard given the house's history) have me kind of paralyzed when it comes to all my plans to mount pot rails, shelves, etc. I"m terrified I'll hit a wire or a pipe. You seem like you have a lot of experience at this point with mounting things in an old building. Would love to hear how you decide where and how to hang heavier items
