In Sweden we're almost there, my car is electric, the heating and cooling of my house is electric (reversible heat-pump), all my appliances are electric, the some of the local delivery of food to my store is electric (electric trucks), the subway is electric, all the trains in the country is electric, some busses are electric. 96% of our electricity comes from Hydro, Wind, Nuclear or geothermal. 4% comes from waste management energy extraction. (we're working on carbon-capture that.) What's left? Shipping, Construction, Mining, Industry and Aviation. Construction is the hardest one, with very energy intensive processes in the making of concrete and steel. But progress is being made with new electric trucks, mining and construction equipment from Scania and Volvo Group (100% Swedish! Only the other company Volvo Cars is partly owned by Chinese Geely)

The Nordic countries have the highest proportion of renewable energy and new cars are mostly electric. At the same time, they have the cheapest electricity prices in Europe.

Yea and then you have strong anti-green energy powers like I see in Czechia and Slovakia, where political parties with 'uknown' money source start disrupting wind/solar plans with fake news and saying that wind energy will destroy villages and the whole country with the lower income voters believing them. Very worrying.

the funny thing is that historically making heat was easy and cheap, and turning it into electricity was... well... bothersome. renewables flip this, as they (mostly) produce electricity directly.

I am Dutch. We converted our house into three apartments, two of which shared a single electricity meter. We wanted each of them to have its own meter. We didn't need an extra electricity connection; we just wanted to replace the sub-meter with a standard meter. It took us five years.

It's plenty feasable ; as soon as electricity gets cheap enough indutries will start transitionning et there's a upwards spiral effect of investement.

Thank you for the video. I think the most important part of this strategy, if it is to work is a dramatic decrease of the price of electricity. Could you please do a follow up video, focussing exclusively on explaining what the exact strategy of the commission is to reduce electricity prices.
