The driver of the SUV was very fortunate. Those runaway wheels often go through the windshield. If you are on motorcycle and get hit by one of those, unfortunately, you don’t have a chance of survival.

This happened to my dad well over 30 years ago. He was headed north on the interstate and all of a sudden an 18 wheeler tire is headed through his windshield from the southbound lane. Dad was never big into seat belts and ducked down and hit the brakes. He used up 1 of his 9 lives that day. The tire was wedged right where his head/torso would have been. The state trooper told him he would have been killed if he had his seen belt on that day. It’s always a crap shoot, sometimes you win but sometimes ya don’t.

Good thing the tire hit the front of the car and bounced upward, instead of going straight through the windshield. If it did, that could’ve annihilated the driver.
