The reveal of Vmax was such a gut punch and also such a good choice. The expectation of what it could be (and tends to be in superhero movies) made it hit harder imo.

Him trusting damage control makes complete sense. It's an org founded by tony and jean said she wanted vmax which in his eyes is probably some sort of super serum or smth

the accent only kicked in when he was talking to civilians or cops, i assumed he actually fleshed out spider man as a public figure over the years with that elevator voice in mind and now he sorta has it down. He goes back to his normal queens accent in pretty much every other scene tho.

As a new yorker, I loved his accent coming out more at times, like when arguing with the punisher and with the guards outside the damage control jail. Letting the accent flex like that is a pretty natural thing I see

Normally having Punisher, Hulk, Yelena and Jean Grey all in the same movie with Spider-Man as the lead would make the film feel overstuffed but they pulled it off! This feels the most street level and personal of all of the MCU Spider-Man movies while also giving the other characters stuff to do that serves the story.

He was using the 'tough guy NY accent' for a reason though....he was masking his actual voice...you notice how it dropped away when Peter was talking to someone he cares about? I thought it was a nice touch TBH.

On a side note, after the failed trial of the chip, the actor who played the first person possesed in that scene KILLED it with only 3 4 minutes of screen time

Also...he wasn't 'so trusting of Damage Control' (just bought a Damage Control No 1 comic too...great timing I think)...he was just working within the system...he even said to the police lady 'he could be lying to me'...he knows these places can't be trusted...its just where else is he going to put his villains? Build his own prison? He kinda has no choice right now. ALSO, also, thats who he is...he sees the best in people.

I really love Spider-Man and Punisher's dynamic throughout the movie. I love similar and different they are from eachother. Like Punisher doesn't where a mask because he has no one else to lose, while Spider-Man doesn't take his mask off because he is so scared of losing someone again.
